Hello! My name is James Garcia Alver, and I am currently working a position as an Acquisition Program Manager with the United States Space Force’s Space Systems Command through the Presidential Management Fellowship program. I recently graduated from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University with an M.A. International Science and Technology Policy concentrating in Space Policy. I previously graduated from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts in Government, as well as a secondary in Earth and Planetary Sciences and a citation in Spanish.  I was born and raised in the Tampa Bay, Florida area.

My primary areas of interest are space policy specifically, and international relations and domestic politics more generally. My previous work experiences include serving as an Intern at the Aerospace Corporation Center for Space Policy and Strategy, Intern at NASA’s Office of International and Interagency Relations, Graduate Analytical Intern for International Technology and Trade Associates, Program Analyst with the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General, Space Intern with the Aerospace Industries Association, and Lloyd V. Berkner Space Policy Intern at the National Academy of Sciences. I have also previously interned for the Honorable Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, No Labels, and the Romney for President Campaign. During my time at Harvard I gave tours with Trademark Tours, as well as contributing to and editing the Harvard Political Review and Satire V.
